The Story of Ludmila Žídková

Behind every pair of FARE shoes are not only materials, technology and production processes, but above all people, their experience and dedicated craftsmanship. And some of them have been part of our story from the very beginning.

One of them is our long-standing colleague Ludmila Žídková, who recently celebrated her wonderful 70th birthday. She has worked at FARE as a seamstress since the company was founded in November 1991. She has therefore been with us for more than three decades and remembers both the very beginnings of FARE and its gradual development into the company it is today.

To mark this special milestone, we asked Mrs Žídková a few questions and took the opportunity to look back together on the many years she has spent at FARE.

MORE THAN THREE DECADES OF DEDICATED CRAFTSMANSHIP

Working as a seamstress requires experience, precision, patience and attention to detail. The individual parts of a shoe must be carefully crafted and correctly joined together before they can gradually become a finished pair of shoes.

Over more than 30 years, countless models have passed through Mrs Žídková’s hands. When we asked her what had changed the most during that time, she reflected mainly on how production and the work itself have gradually evolved.

Over the years, she has also experienced many unforgettable moments. When we talked about her fondest or funniest memories, the people and the time spent together came up again and again. Alongside the craft itself, it is the team and the relationships between colleagues that shape everyday life at the company.

WHEN WORK BECOMES PART OF YOUR LIFE

More than three decades in one workplace mean much more than simply years of service. They represent thousands of working days, many colleagues, changes in production, new collections, new materials and new models – and, above all, countless shared experiences.

When we asked what she would wish for FARE and the people who will carry its story forward in the years to come, her answer was simple and heartfelt: that the company continues to thrive.

Long-standing employees such as Mrs Žídková are an important part of the FARE story. Their experience and knowledge of shoemaking cannot be replaced overnight. They are the result of years of work and craftsmanship – a tradition that continues to be passed on in Valašské Klobouky.

A 70th birthday is a wonderful milestone and, for us, also an opportunity to thank Mrs Žídková for all the years of working together, her experience, dedication and the part she has played in FARE’s history since November 1991.

Much has changed over the years. FARE has grown, new collections have been created, and materials, technologies and the appearance of our shoes have evolved. But people like Mrs Žídková remind us that behind every product are still, above all, human craftsmanship and experienced hands.

We wish her good health, plenty of happiness and energy, and many wonderful moments with her family and loved ones in the years ahead.
